Getting Started
Appointments and Length of Treatment
Sessions are typically 45 minutes each week. We will decide on the frequency of your sessions during our first few meetings and can reassess during the course of treatment. Finding a pace that is best for you is important, and may vary through treatment.
The length of treatment depends on the nature of your concerns and the goals we set for our work together. You may see me for a short time about a particular issue or the scope of our work may change as we explore more long standing patterns of behavior.
Fees & Insurance
My current fees are $175.00/45 minute session. I accept payment by cash or check at the time of service. I do not accept insurance. However, many plans offer some coverage for out of network providers. I am able to provide you with monthly billing statements that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Please contact me with any questions or comments. I would be happy to talk about how we may work together. All calls and emails are confidential and will be answered within 24 hours. I look forward to talking with you.

Finding the Right Therapist for You & Beginning the Therapy Process
Finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and safe is the single most important factor in therapy. A strong therapeutic relationship is grounded in mutual trust and respect.
I'm happy to answer any questions and discuss how we might work together. If you would like to meet, we will set up an initial appointment. The first few sessions are a good time to decide if I am a good fit for your situation and if you are comfortable working with me. I will do a lot of listening to learn about your life and what is important to you, and ask questions about your history and the challenges that prompted you to seek treatment.
As I offer thoughts to help you make sense of the issues you are struggling with, pay attention to your degree of comfort with me, as finding a therapist you are comfortable with is essential to the success of your therapy.
